If Anderlecht becomes champion, it will qualify directly for the pool phase of the Champions League. That consists of eight matches next season and runs until the end of January.

If Anderlecht finishes second, it will qualify for the third preliminary round of the Champions League. If it loses there, it goes to the last preliminary round of the Europa League. If it loses there too, the pools of the Conference League await. If Anderlecht reaches the last preliminary round of the Champions League and loses there, the group stage of the Europa League is the safety net.

If Anderlecht finishes third, it will enter the last preliminary round of the Europa League for the first time. If it loses there, the group phase of the Conference League therefore awaits.

In the group stage of the Europa League, just like the Champions League, there are eight matches. These run until the end of January. The pool phase of the Conference League has only six matches and ends in December.
